Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted June 25, 2006 Rascal Flatts -- Me and My Gang: A+. awesome CD. everyone should go buy it now. there are some really good, uber awesome songs on it. actually, all of the songs are exceptionally good.
Drake 53 Posted June 29, 2006 Superman Returns ~ A+ Kevin Spacey was Lex Luthor. I think that's all I have to say right there. But no, it was a visually stunning movie and had a good story to it too. You could feel the excitement that the movie characters must have when Superman finally comes back to save the crashing plane that has Lois aboard (of course). SoftballJedi 0 Posted July 8, 2006 POTC2: Dead Man's Chest--Grade: A+ Oh, wow! This movie may not have had the same type of humor, but it was still excellent! It seemed tragic, but the twists and turns were great! I want to go see this movie over and over again! Johnny Depp, of course, did excellent as Captain Jack Sparrow again! He did even better! Ahh, I'm in heaven!
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted July 8, 2006 i give POTC2 an A-. explaination contains spoilers, so don't read if you don't want to be spoiled yes, it was a good movie with many funny moments, but i wasn't overly impressed with the bad guy (although it was cool to see Will's dad) and i couldn't understand what the psychic was saying half the time. and it was really long with the WORST cliffhanger EVAAR!! but the three-way sword fight between Jack, Will, and a very dishevled Norrington was pretty cool. not as cool as the sword fights in the first one when the bad pirates were going in and out of the moonlight, but it was still pretty cool. and how in the heck is Barbosa back at the end? a gunshot wound to the chest is kinda, yunno, fatal. but anyway, i enjoyed the movie in general. just a few nitpicky things. end spoilers. back to your regularly scheduled thread. Drake 53 Posted July 8, 2006 I'm seeing the movie tomorrow but I saw part of the Barbosa scene on TV. He looked a little undeadish to me. Are you sure he wasn't in Davy Jones' Locker?
Ayingel 24 Posted July 8, 2006 i agree with jm on the a-...but i also missed the first five minutes because robert was late (he was tired and went the wrong way on the exit). opening night was amazing (luckily, the theatre i was at wasn't as full as the other one in town where there was only one screen and hired actors). this one was laid back, i was the first one in the theatre, and we had the best seats. i wish i knew what happened in the first five minutes...i might find out tomorrow. anyway, i hated the cliffhanger, and it might have been even better if i had not been so tired. i was actually a little worried about the plot when i saw the previews, but disney didn't let me down (for once) on this sequel. i hope they release the next one soon!!!! Drake 53 Posted July 10, 2006 Saw it last night. Great movie. I didn't mind the cliffhanger. I'm happy that they didn't keep the main characters all buddy buddy with eachother. There were some large seeds of mistrust which stuck true to the pirate ways. I thought the cannibal scene was kinda useless...save to reunite Will with Jack and add an unnessary half hour to the already 2.5 hour movie. The one-liners and jokes weren't up to par with the first. In fact, they used a lot of jokes from #1. They did Davy Jones and his crew well and I loved how they brought back Barbosa at the end. He was a classic character and I'm looking forward to seeing how they brought him back from a seemingly fatal wound. I'll agree with the A- grade. Oh...did everyone stay for the post-credit scene? ;)
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted July 10, 2006 no, but i heard about it. poor doggie!
Mara 29 Posted July 11, 2006 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Grade: B/B+ Overall, this movie was great. Awesome special effects. However, it did get a little over the top. Almost like Disney was like "hey, how much FX can we cram into this movie to make them forget the so-so plot?" Yeah. There's a plot.. but it wasn't focused too much on. Probably because it was a little scanty to begin with. It worked I suppose, in order to bridge the gap to the next movie. But I think it made the movies seem more like one great movie, then a duology. Not a trilogy of movies. Even the fight scenes seemed a little forced. C'mon, a water wheel? I dunno, maybe it'll be better once I see the second part next Memorial Day. But for now... the first is a lot better.
Andy 60 Posted July 26, 2006 Anyone seen a show called Veronica Mars? This guy I was talking to kept going on about it, and well he is now my b/f (yay) so tonight when I was round his house we watched a bit of it. Seems pretty good to me. :D

Tsl 7 Posted July 28, 2006 Pirates 2 was pretty good. Very funny, I thought. Maybe I was just in a silly mood when I saw it. I'd have to give it an A just because Depp is so damned awesome.
Alexander 0 Posted July 30, 2006 Click-A. Pretty good, sad, good twists. Morty was awsome! There were twists in that movie? The only "twist" was Walken's character, and with a name like Morty, it was pretty obvious. The movie had its moments, but it was just A Christmas Carol with fart jokes. SoftballJedi 0 Posted August 1, 2006 Ehh, to me, that was a big enough twist. But if you think about it, they're all little twists into one big twist. Like Donna marrying the Speedo-wearing guy Sean Astin played. Bill? It just seemed like a modern Christmas Carol. What's wrong with the name Morty? :p
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 1, 2006 i wouldn't name a kid that :p

Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 2, 2006 the only way that would happen is if you were the father and i died in childbirth. the odds of that are pretty slim. scratch that. the odds of that are zero. :p
