Chickenman 9 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) Some pics of me working on our 48 Hour Film Project. The pitch meeting, where the entire cast and crew got together to find out what the film needed to include, and to toss around ideas before the writers meeting. Lots of good ideas were freewheeling around. The plot's inspiration grew organically from this meeting. We're not quite sure whose idea it was. The pitch meeting started around 7 and ended around 9, at which point the writers hiked back down the street to get cracking. The writers meeting. We'd been given some ideas by the pitch meeting, but we were still on square one at this point. We had a few great, excellent ideas that would have made great, excellent movies, but ultimately we reached back to something someone said back at the pitch. I either offer an idea or say something silly to keep spirits high. Mike, the other writer in the shot, really crafted a beautiful story out of our initial idea. We all did a ton of work on it, but he got the ball rolling. And roll it did. The battered remnants of the writers meeting. This photo was taken around 3:15 in the morning, and my day was only just beginning. Rehearsals. 2 I listen in as Dan choreographs the scene. The entire 6 minute film was in one shot, but also featured several scenes taking place in different time frames and even different planes of reality. As such, the camera had to be perfectly choreographed. Brandon, the lead actor, had to make a ton of costume changes, completely on the fly, while also delivering his lines. Any time he's not on screen, even for a moment, he's making a frantic costume change, and much of my job during the actual filming was helping him with that. If you look at the photo before this one, he's holding 3 or 4 shirts. All told, he had to go through 6 or 7 costume changes, including 7 or 8 articles of clothing (including taking things off only to put them back on again) in only 6 minutes. And then he had give a dramatic performance on top of that. I dressed a man more times during this production than I ever meant to in my life. Chickenman 9 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) Goofing off during the long wait for production to start. Some relaxationisizing. You grab sleep wherever and whenever you can. Or you make silly and quasi-disturbing faces at the camera. I have absolutey no idea how I'm so alert-looking in these pictures. I was in the damned writers meeting! Though to be fair, as soon as it turned dark, I shut down. Sillyness at the premiere. There's absolutely no cooler feeling in the world than seeing something you helped create on the big screen. SUCCESS!!!! When the film gets uploaded onto the internets, I'll send you guys a link. Edited May 20, 2009 by Chickenman
