I'm not sure, I haven't looked at the laws, only time I looked at the weapons laws here in Texas was to see if a sword cane would be legal... which I don't think it is... Uncle Du 22 Posted May 6, 2009 Cause technically that would be a concealed weapon, right? I mean, if I'm thinking of the kind of sword you would hide IN a cane. And I know that years back, as long as you carried a handgun in plain site, it was legal in Texas. It was technically legal in VA, but each city had it's own ordinances about it. Winters 0 Posted May 6, 2009 Actually, I couldn't find anything that said no, but I asked a concealed weapons instruction that used to come to the photo lab and he said that he's pretty sure it'd be illegal. One thing about him, he was a Mason, he had a ring and all... kinda weird... there's a lot of Freemasons all of a sudden... As for the open carry, I honestly think it's ok, but only if you live in places where there's less then five thousand people, because once you get cities larger than that, they create laws saying you can't do that, so basically, I don't think you can, but I don't know the gun laws of Texas, I should considering I want some historical ones... Bad furday 57 Posted May 6, 2009 In the Binghamton University paper this week, they had a whole list of weapons that were confiscated and banned over the years. Sword canes were on the list! Along with Airsoft guns...which is odd..sort of. My brother has three of them. If the Smith and Wesson model didn't have the orange tip, it'd be too easy to mistake it for a real handgun. The semi clear AK-47.....not so much. But then I geeked out..and said that it'd be cool to buy a SW Stormtrooper/Clone rifle, empty it's internals out, and cram the innards of the AK-47 Airsoft gun inside it. :p Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
