With a girl, you have to worry about all the other boys, so I count my blessings. ;)

Ayingel 24 Posted August 1, 2007 Anyway hope this makes you feel better, and here's an idea, I want to lose weight, if more people do I have the program for LA weight loss complements of my dad who used it before, I can share the diet and exercise regime and we could form a weight loss or shall we instead say get-fit club or whatever... cause encouragement works wonders! i've been wanting to do that to help me get into shape...and to prove to my dad that it really works (he lost his pre-transplant weight....and now he's gained it back and looks pregnant again, but this time it's all fat)

Uncle Du 22 Posted August 2, 2007 Lemme see here, everyone's talking about weight, I think I can contribute. Let me find some pics.... This first one, me at about 185 lbs. My "ideal" weight for my height. I was constantly lifting and riding my bike. This one...and I used this one on purpose because I look like hell, 240 lbs, no diet, and no exercise. And finally this one, where I'm at now, about 210 lbs. (think I posted this one already, but who cares...) My point with these is this: 4 years ago I was in great shape. When Christina got pregnant, you can say I did too, but I didn't blow up real big until I got to the ship and was away from my wife and son. I lost all motivation for fitness. When I started to get back on the fitness wagon, the first thing I did was cut all sugar from my diet. That helped me drop and keep off 8 pounds right there. As much as I hate to say it, there really is no substitute for cardio, it really works, you just have to stick with it. That's the hard part. But it does pay off. And I'm being hypocritical, because I haven't been running in well over a month and am starting to gain weight again. Stress does that to me. Any way. All I can say is this: no one else can tell you what you need to change in your life to lose weight. You don't necessarily have to stop eating certain types of food, it's all about what you figure you can get rid of. I still eat food that's "bad" for me, I just try and make sure I make up for it later on in the day. Stuff like that. So, I'm hoping that I actually contributed here. And while I'm on a posting spree, I figure I would throw one up here that Prin can sleep well thinking about... Oh yea, Sailor of the Month in May! :p
Mara 29 Posted August 2, 2007 Haha, no kidding... I barely exercise and I'm so out of shape. I don't look it, but I know I am. And I know I don't eat well. Heck, I rarely eat vegetables any more because I'm working. I usually just pack a sandwich to take to work. If Mara and Andy will stop having a quote-a-thon war.... I'll go put the formal request in for him to give us a space. Meh! Yeah, quote wars are fun!
