And all the students joke about it very discreetly, but no one has the nerve to try to get him to say "Bazinga." Until now... Before every class we have to email him a quiz question, he picks his favorites, and they make it to the quiz the next day. I emailed him this little gem that I am WAY too proud of... Phil, I sure hope you like the CBS Thursday line up as much as I do... You and a friend are arguing over which is better: Star Wars or Star Trek. After hours of research you decide that the best way to settle this empirically is to randomly select four seasons of The Big Bang Theory, watch all episodes in each season, and count the total number of Star Wars and Star Trek references in the sample. Assuming a relatively large sample size (and way too much spare time), which is the most appropriate statistical test to use (and ultimately prove to your friend that Star Wars is way better)? a. ANOVA b. two-sample t-test c. matched pairs t-test d. Chi-square test for independence e. B(azinga) test for geektitude f. Phone rang at 8am today (Never a good sign, though I assumed it was a political robocall since the primary is today) and it was my manager asking if I can work tonight because the person who is supposed to work is sick. The rest of the world does pancakes on Mardi Gras, but as of 2006, IHOP holds this fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. They serve free shortstacks, you donate as much as you can towards the charity. But many people just make pancakes at home and celebrate the American Ingenuity of making two holidays out of one.
