Jake Durron 23 Posted November 24, 2011 So I'm already stressed for having to work today and help cook... and now my niece is playing her baritone... badly. FML I WANT A DRINK!!! Happy thanksgiving!
Princess 35 Posted November 26, 2011 I'm watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade that I DVR'd since I Was sleeping and when did it become all live commercials for NBC shows? I want to see acts and the balloons, not acts and interviews with every NBC actor that's there. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving
Princess 35 Posted November 26, 2011 Ya know, I don't think that I've ever watched the entire parade. It got much better after the first hour
Pandora 77 Posted November 26, 2011 I am glad I missed it. I heard it was one big Macy's commercial.
Princess 35 Posted November 26, 2011 And NBC commercial.
Bad furday 57 Posted November 26, 2011 Hilariously, every float had sponsorship on it this year, and the broadcast constantly told us who the float was presented by. :p
Pandora 77 Posted November 26, 2011 And then people went put and killed each other over cheap crap. When did this become okay?
Princess 35 Posted November 27, 2011 I dunno. It shows how terrible our society has become. This is not the reason for the season! BTW, there is something special about singing "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" for the first time of the year.
Pandora 77 Posted November 27, 2011 I honestly couldn't sing it without a cheat sheet. Don't know the words... But I've been badly playing Christmas songs on the piano from a book written for five-year-olds. That count?
Drake 53 Posted November 27, 2011 I generally hate Christmas music. It's all the same songs redone a thousand times in barely different ways. There are a few gems but largely its all the same. Sometimes someone will have the skills and the balls to make something new but it's quickly consumed and regurgitated by covers and remixes. This is why I turn off my radio once November starts. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted November 27, 2011 I still twitch when I hear Nutcracker music.
Sin 2 Posted November 27, 2011 We have three radio stations that have been playing nothing but Christmas music since the day after Halloween...they have killed my Christmas joy
Ayingel 24 Posted November 27, 2011 Picked our bridesmaids dresses! They're all waiting to order until about February, but they should be here in time :D
Pandora 77 Posted November 27, 2011 Yay!!!! It's all coming together! Have you found invites and a baker yet?
Ayingel 24 Posted November 27, 2011 Baker is included with the venue and so is the florist ^ ^ . Savethedates are going to be ready around Christmas and invites will be out in June I think (does that sound right for a September wedding?)
Sin 2 Posted November 27, 2011 Sounds like you have everything planned out right, go you
Pandora 77 Posted November 27, 2011 June sounds perfect. 60-90 days, I think, is usual. The rule of thumb is that if you expect a lot of out-of-state guests to give them an extra month.
