And speaking of drinking... *collapses in his booth with a glass of wine* ah.....back from the sightseeing tour! I see now why The Lovin' Spoonful wrote a song about Summmer in the City...with the girls dressing so fine and looking so pretty. I had an enourmous amount of fun, and got to see things I hadn't ever seen, or had only read about, or had seen but didn't remember becasue I was so young when I saw them before. We were dropped off in Battery Park, and the park was alive with energy, from the drum playing street performers to overly exuberant singing school kids to lithe, tanned models in shades. As I sit here and write, I can still feel the rolling motion of the ferry despite my feet and chair being firmly planted on the terra.
