Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted September 28, 2008 well, puppy is an outside dog per hubby's rules. poor thing's been crying all night since she used to have 2 moms (dad died from Parvo) and 3 brothers and now it's just her. but she'll adjust. the bird's not real happy with me for some reason right now, but he'll get over it too. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted September 29, 2008 i came home this afternoon and couldn't find the dog. she wasn't on the porch or under it, so i started calling her thinking maybe she went behind the shed. i hear this whining coming from the direction of our neighbors' yard and it didn't sound like their little yappy rodent dog. yup, that's right. Speaking of tolerance, when I went camping a few weeks ago, I put back somewhere around 35 beers in a ten hour period. That's like 3.5 beers an hour! Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted October 7, 2008 *crawls into booth* my puppy is sick. she was throwing up this afternoon and she might do so again even on the low-impact diet. at 9pm she got a teaspoon of the mush mixed with 3ccs of chicken broth and we thought she might not keep it down. i'm so worried that she's got an obstruction somewhere in her system that will have to be surgically removed and cost us more than we have. let's face it; she's a Beagle which means she'll eat pretty much anything. rocks, sticks, landscaping cloth, blankets, grass.....i'm really worried about her. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted October 7, 2008 we've already been to the vet. they sent us home with the mush diet and some de-worming meds that i'll give her when i'm sure she's not throwing up anymore. but we have to feed her the mush every two to four hours, so it's going to be a long night. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted October 7, 2008 have you been to a doctor, Unknown? if the cough's getting that bad, you could have a nasty case of bronchitis and will need some heavy-duty antibiotics to clear it up. in other news, puppy seems to have recovered from her bout with an upset tummy and was very put out at the small amounts of food we've been giving her since last night. i'm hoping to be able to feed her a good supper tonight.
