But what did they get arrested for? no idea...i wasn't there, but if they didn't leave the students alone who asked to be left alone, that would do it. but, the chaplain on campus said they were welcome to come on to the property and talk to students. this is the email all students recieved about it: Dear members of our BLC campus community, Just a reminder that tomorrow is the day when the members of Soulforce and their supporters will be at our front gates. According to their website they plan to protest at our gates around 10AM, and then enter our campus to approach students around noon. According to the Free Press there is also a group from Gustavus College planning to join in their protest. if you wish to not speak with any of them, just respectfully decline. It is our assumption that the event should be all over by mid- to late afternoon, so as not to interfere with other activities on campus. We ask that you refrain from doing anything that will irritate the situation. It is our hope to make the day as much of a "non-event" as possible. I encourage your prayers that everyone would be kept safe, even the Equality Riders. Please be sure to have FOBS and photo ID's ready for entering buildings. Thank you for putting up with all of this, and for being so cooperative. - Chaplain Moldstad i suppose they could have tried to enter buildings and that also would have done it. but i think the "security" was some of the students that are hired to make their job easier. damn vigilanties. About 50 Equality Riders . . . arrived around 10 a.m. Thursday and stepped off the public sidewalk and onto Bethany Lutheran property. They were headed for the center of campus when a security worker shouted to the activists that they must leave or face arrest.
