Drake 53 Posted July 13, 2007 Yeah, it truely is a noble cause.[/irony] I sometimes wonder what would have happened if the whole terrorism thing was just kept on the down low and the media didn't blow it out of proportion. Would Al-Qaeda have gotten the publicity they have? Would they have been able to recruit as many people? Would it have been better for Bush to focus on black ops and assassination instead of full-frontal war against an enemy hidden in caves?

TheUnknown 39 Posted July 19, 2007 Yeah, it truely is a noble cause.[/irony] I sometimes wonder what would have happened if the whole terrorism thing was just kept on the down low and the media didn't blow it out of proportion. Would Al-Qaeda have gotten the publicity they have? Would they have been able to recruit as many people? Would it have been better for Bush to focus on black ops and assassination instead of full-frontal war against an enemy hidden in caves? I don't know, but I do know that if September 11 had happened under a Democratic president, the right-wing political world and the so-called "liberal media" would have strung him/her up. But since it happened under Bush and he blew some sith up and mumbled some words about freedom and God, he's "strong on taraism." WTF sort of horsesith is that?
