Neil1 0 Posted December 30, 2006 Pointless execution.
Uncle Du 22 Posted December 30, 2006 Not really, no matter what you may think of execution, the fact is, this was all done by the Iragi's. They did the trial, they convicted him, and they carried out the penalty. They have used their due process sucessfully. Now they need to continue on, so we can get the ewok outta there. Neil1 0 Posted December 30, 2006 (edited) That's describing the process. Now they need to continue on, so we can get the ewok outta there. Do you watch the news? If you do you'd realise how corrupt that nation has become? It's not a situation that can be fixed in a few years, although you'll probably attempt that. And then we'll have a bigger mess, with organised factions rooted into powerful positions. Oh it's depressing, it is. Uncle Du 22 Posted December 30, 2006 If you do you'd realise how corrupt that nation has become? What nation isn't corrupt? The only difference is that we've had a couple hundred years to get good at it, as most other major nations in the world.
Neil1 0 Posted December 30, 2006 A couple hundred years of staying in Iraq then. A lovely proposition.
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted December 30, 2006 nah. my guess is we won't be there much past the next presidential elections. cuz if Bush doesn't pull out before then, the next pres (hopefully) will.

Uncle Du 22 Posted December 31, 2006 A couple hundred years of staying in Iraq then. A lovely proposition. No. Just because a country is corrupt, doesn't mean that it can't function without American control. I mean, we do it just fine, and the British rolled the hell out. :p
Neil1 0 Posted December 31, 2006 (edited) Is that suppose to be an insult? Sort of petty. Side tracking anyway. Iraq's a mess with no thanks to coalitions, Iraqis or fanatics. The funny thing is the three often blerge into one. Edited December 31, 2006 by Neil1
Uncle Du 22 Posted December 31, 2006 You're right, I degress. I don't care how many study groups they convene, no one will ever know the complete, proper course of action. And lets face reality, there probably isn't any one thing that could be done to make this "easy". The fact is, the whole Middle East is the way it is because people can't learn to live with one another no matter what they believe in. Because everyone thinks their religion is the way, or their ideals are better. I'm sick of hearing this same ewoking story over and over. No one can just be happy with our differences, and live with. Everyone has to try and bend everyone to their will. The only reason I've never had a problem with the US doing it is cause Democracy does offer these people something better. Yea yea, they should be able to choose, even if they don't want us there. Well, we let that happen, and we get another ewoking Crusade, and once again the Kingdom of Heaven is thrown into turmoil. Oh wait, it always has been. Because those that believe in Alah and Jesus can't freakin get along. Whatever.
