Princess 35 Posted September 3, 2006 *sigh* Apparently we're proving that we can't take care of ourselves, so the government feels the need to step in. Make your children get away from computers and video games and make them go outside, play and run around.
Brumak 2 Posted September 3, 2006 And give them 10 cents to not eat sugary foods.

SoftballJedi 0 Posted September 4, 2006 Not a big deal to the rest of the world, but a big deal here..He had a rare form of brain cancer, didn't last two months. They took him off of life support Thursday, died Friday. Really is a shame, nobody loved Pittsburgh as much as this guy. It was his life-long dream to be mayor, and he wasn't even in 9 months. The new mayor is the youngest mayor Pittsburgh has ever seen.
Alexander 0 Posted September 5, 2006 They should just start putting a "fat tax" on unhealthy food and make healthier food lower in price. An indulging oneself should come at a higher price than just weight gain.
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted September 5, 2006 if people would get out and exercise more, it would help as well. for instance, i live on fast food *is eating McDonald's right now*. my eating habits are horrible. yet i keep the weight off because i stay active. Brumak 2 Posted September 5, 2006 (edited) THe problem with a large percentage of Americans though is that they're lazy, or too 'busy' to excercise or work out. Edited September 5, 2006 by V!?
Alexander 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I swore off fast food (except for extreme circumstances) and even if I do go I get something miniscule like a salad or grilled chicken sandwich. The only exercise I really get is walking to class / work. Occasionally I'll do some curls and / or crunches but just by walking a lot and eating right I have lost roughly 60 pounds in a year, dropped from a 38 waist to a 29/30, and from an XL to an XS. :)
Uncle Du 22 Posted September 6, 2006 Good on ya man. Compared to where I was a year ago, I've definitely gotten better at not eating fast food as much, as well as snacking constantly. Though it is kinda tough when I'm sitting at work for 12 hours not to snack. Since January, I've lost about 20 pounds, though at one point I had lost 32, but I haven't been acttve lately due to the stress fracture in my leg. It's really all about what you eat. But I still have my guilty pleasures... *takes drink from beer*
