Tsl 7 Posted August 13, 2006 It's not funny. It's just sad
Alexander 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Thinking it sad would mean they warrant sympathy for their weight. The fact that technology can now make fun of fat people in a sense is rather humorous.

Ender 8 Posted August 15, 2006 Indeed. Yeah, same here. In Cincinnati, almost all the hospitals (I think seven in all) are located on one hill near the University of Cincinnati. It's called Pill Hill, and it's in one of the worst parts of downtown. The Ronald McDonald House has two armed guards that have to escort you to and from the House to the hospitals. It's ridiculous. Which is exactly why I am never going to work at Cincy Childrens, which is just accross the street from the RMH, lol. My hospital isn't in a good area, but so far I haven't had to dodge any bullets, unlike a friend of mine who worked at Good Samaritan (in Dayton) for awhile. Seriously! Besides, all the people there are real assholes. Most of them are former St. Jude's employees, and they walk around with their noses higher in the air than anyone I've ever seen. Well, okay, I've seen a few Parisians whose noses were higher, but you get the point. W00t for going out to the University of Iowa every year! lol Come to Dayton Children's, dude! lol I've heard people say the folks at Cincy Children's aren't so nice. Our families that have to go down there for something usually can't wait to come back to us, lol. And they usually have a better appreciation for us too. I'd love to go up there, if you had the four docs that I need! Yes, I'm up to four! Neurosurgeon, endocrinologist, neuro ophthamologist, and the radiation oncologist. And yeah, the Cincy Children's people aren't very nice. It's actually funny, because right now Cincy Children's and the University of Iowa have a bit of a rivalry going on now, because so many neuro patients go to Iowa instead of Cincy now, because all the pediatric neurosurgeons left Cincy. Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted August 15, 2006 and they all left Cincy because Cincy sucks? :p
Ender 8 Posted August 17, 2006 The healthcare, yes. But it's a good city. Lots of stuff to do, as long as you stay out of Over-The-Rhine.
Tsl 7 Posted August 18, 2006 lol, I don't know if we have radiation oncologists. I'm not very familiar with our HemOnc staff, though. Cincy has rivalry problems with everybody. Everytime we send a kid down there they redo all the tests and diagnostic procedures that we've already done and then when/if they send the kid back to us, they don't send any info on what they've done. Our docs have to call down there and beat the information out of them!
Ender 8 Posted August 18, 2006 Well, duh. We're just amateurs, anyway. They're from St. Jude's.
