Ayingel 24 Posted August 22, 2007 there's a place at the Mall of America that's a lot like that too, but without the all-you-can-eat part...an they just opened up a fast food place in Rochester at the mall there that has sushi on the menu.
Mara 29 Posted August 22, 2007 Yeah, not all sushi has fish in it. There are those with crab or shrimp. If seafood just isn't your thing, there are the ones with veggies or mango. There's a sushi restaurant a few minutes from my place where you pay $15 (for dinner prices) for all-you-can-eat sushi and entrees like teriyaki beef or chicken or tempura shrimp, for example. Don't worry, it's not like a buffet...they're made fresh and brought to your table in neat little sushi boats. It rocks. Meh.. I'm not a big fan of veggies, lol. Ayingel 24 Posted August 23, 2007 but, they don't sell that as drinks!
Uncle Du 22 Posted August 23, 2007 I could invent a drink and name it "The Whatever".

Ayingel 24 Posted August 23, 2007 hmm...what would it have?
Uncle Du 22 Posted August 23, 2007 Hmm. Well, by the name, it would have to be something that someone would or wouldn't want, because of the mood they're in. So, for that, I'm thinking maybe.... ...lemme get back to you in a few, lemme see what I have for liquor in the house, so I can get an idea...
Mara 29 Posted August 23, 2007 Oooh, an experiment.
Uncle Du 22 Posted August 23, 2007 OK, so I got something. This can kinda be a "Whatever-tini". I took two parts Bombay Sapphire, one part Smirnoff Vodka and one part Sprite, shaken with ice. Finish it off with a couple green olives. Pretty damn good. If you like a stiff drink. And none of this, "a real martini is gin and dry-vermouth" crap. I like my way better. :p
Ayingel 24 Posted August 23, 2007 take out the olives an i'm smitten
Mara 29 Posted August 23, 2007 I know almost nothing about alcohol, but it sounds really good and interesting, lol.
Uncle Du 22 Posted August 23, 2007 Well, the olives are more of a personal preference. I always have em with a martini. And I'm tellin' ya, Sapphire can make any drink better, this stuff is delicious.
Uncle Du 22 Posted August 23, 2007 I know almost nothing about alcohol, but it sounds really good and interesting, lol. Heh. You know, it is possible to have a drink and not go overboard. ;)

I know... but that's not why I don't drink, lol. I just have no interest in it.

Ender 8 Posted August 23, 2007 a real martini is gin and dry-vermouth Damn straight. If you've got to doctor your liquor, then don't drink.
Uncle Du 22 Posted August 23, 2007 I knew my comment would force Ender to surface. I myself like to go with a traditional 50/50, shaken with 3 olives. But I like to invent also.
Mara 29 Posted August 23, 2007 (edited) Hey, to each their own, that's cool. But boy are you missin' out! *shrug* There's not really any one in my family who is a big drinker, lol. I don't even think we have any liquor at home. Oohh.... it's thunderstormin' out. I had to second guess myself on whether I put my windows up or not, lol.
