Insyana 0 Posted January 8, 2006 What about that airport built on water in Japan. Awesome.
Mara 29 Posted January 9, 2006 that was an example. If the Empire State building had been built in 12 BC, that'd be pretty damned wild. But since it was built in world of trucks and cranes and steel, it's not that fantastic. I didn't mean only things built in 12 BC could be considered.... *shakes head* Stonehenge is a wonder because nobody really knows who built it or why, or really even how. Those stones came from somewhere quite far from the site itself and back then, they didn't exactly have trucks or cranes to lift and haul them. Everything that is assumed about it are only theories. I've heard everything from druids to aliens built the thing. Yes, I know.. it was sarcasm. This should be a modern world wonder: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Millau_...iver_France.jpg Amazing. Awesome..
Chickenman 9 Posted January 10, 2006 They would only be wonders if they were built in 12 BC or something, lol Which would kinda limit the list.. Yes, I know.. it was sarcasm. No it wasn't.
Mara 29 Posted January 11, 2006 And you would know because...?
Sticks 1 Posted January 16, 2006 Why do they have to take the old wonders off the list? Who cares if 6 aren't here anymore...we still wonder about them.
GI_Admiral 2 Posted January 17, 2006 I kinda agree with sticks
Chickenman 9 Posted January 17, 2006 Why do they have to take the old wonders off the list? Who cares if 6 aren't here anymore...we still wonder about them. I don't think they're so much taking some off the list, as making a new list. With things that have been constructed since the first list, and things that were discovered after the first list. Mara 29 Posted January 17, 2006 Making the list bigger, adding to it. So really it's the 14 wonders.
