Roethlisberger 0 Posted February 10, 2004 I liked TPM more than AotC, but I really didn't like either of them. The new scenes in the SE were unneeded, and the movie is better off without them. Never the less, I'll buy the DVD, but keep the OE on video.
Radioactive Isotope 29 Posted February 11, 2004 ditto. actually, i already have the OT on DVD. my dad got it from Asia, so it doesn't have any nifty special features, and the subtitles are way off, but at least it's on DVD. :p
Mara 29 Posted February 11, 2004 I've never seen the original versions... Me either.... except for those few choice minutes I caught while in strep throat dreamland.
Tsl 7 Posted February 11, 2004 Yayness! Finally! *happy dances around the thread* But I agree about the SE vs. OT. I think they should release both...so we can buy both...like I did on VHS .
Drake 53 Posted February 11, 2004 I like the SE much much better....although I had a good laugh at all of the high tech visual effects of the OT. :p

Tsl 7 Posted February 11, 2004 I like the SE much much better....although I had a good laugh at all of the high tech visual effects of the OT. I didn't think the effects were too different between the SE and the OT. The ships were about the only thing they improved at all. Some of the effects in the SE were really crappy...like the insertion of 10 billion growling/howling rhontos and other beasts into every. single. frame. in the Tatooine scenes. The Jabba in ANH also looked pretty durn crappy.
Drake 53 Posted February 11, 2004 There were only a couple of rontos in Mos Eisley...not quite a million in every frame. And I thought that Jabba looked pretty good....but that's just my opinion...
CorSec 5 Posted February 11, 2004 I saw both OT and the SE ver....meh...I don't care...my dad wants the originals....

Bushy 0 Posted June 19, 2004 I always loved how on the original poster/cover for ANH it showed Luke with his lightsaber raised above his head, chest bared, and Leia in a sexy pose, her whole leg exposed. And in the movie, all Luke does with the saber is swing it around like an idiot in the Falcon, and you see neither his chest or Leia's leg. Stupid movie posters
Tsl 7 Posted June 19, 2004 lol, poor Bushy really wanted to see Mark Hamill's chest. Tis a real shame *ducks and runs*
