It was called so because of a painting of the same name by which artist? Someone reported it: pertinence: a way to salvage the question might be what was the name of the generic cry used when luke falls from cloud city? Um.. it's not a bad question... Well I thought it was. The scream used in the films has nothing to do with the painting, really The sound effect is known as the "Wilhelm scream". The painting called "The Scream" is by Edvard Munch.
