Title: United 93

Grade: A

Critique:

This movie definately deserved the 4 stars that it got! While it isn't a movie that I'd see at 9:10 at night (like I did with my parents), it's definately worth the look. The 'R' rating was necessary, two, after seeing all the blood and they went over the 'PG-13' limit of use for the word 'ewok'. It was pretty interesting as everyone in the theatre came in talking, but left in silence, minus the two blondes who were sitting behind me and kicking my chair. It was an extremely emotional film and brought back a lot of memories of 9/11. I'd recommend it to anyone with a stronger stomach for constantly moving cameras (my mom was a bit motion sick). The only thing I think they could have done better with was the conversations of the passengers and perhaps a few more subtitles when the hijackers were talking...

I dunno. It seems a little soon and, well, tasteless to be doing 9/11 movies already. I think the same guy is already working on one about the WTC too :s

The families all supported this movie being made. I think that it's good that they made it, even if not all the world is ready for it yet. But it's good that it's there, for people to see, once they are ready.

the sad thing was...right after it happened i was wondering how long it would take for a movie to be made

If they do it right, and stick to the facts without Hollywoodifying it, then it will be a good thing.

From what I've seen of the trailer. It appears to be putting the other plane passengers in a very bad light.

I can't honestly say that I'll be seeing the 9/11 movie. It already hit close enough to home for me.

I don't think I could take reliving it and having it shoved in my face again.

Well, the passengers in the movie did something to stop the attack. The others didn't, simple as that. That's nothing bad about the other passengers. They didn't know what was going on, and they didn't do anything. The passengers featured in the movie found out what was going on, and did something incredibly heroic to prevent the attack. Thus, they get a movie made about them.

THey probably got some compensation for it, so of course they support it, lol

In the trailer they implied that the passengers on United 93 were courageous - something along the lines of 'One group of passengers decided to fight ~usual garbage about freedom~ this was fligth 93 ~etc~'. I think.

Yes... because freedom is such garbage...

I thought it was a very well made film.
