So I'm now living in a homeless shelter (I'm at the library right now as I type this).

Damn, hope you're doing okay. Do you get any help looking for a place there at all?

Would this worthless piece of sith and all around bitch just hurry up and die so I can be free of her?

Went to the emergency room.  They stuck me seven times to try to draw blood.

Also, haven't told my mom or my employer that I had to go because of them.

When will people learn that bombing each other just continues the cycle of hate? :(

Would our cities stop drowning, please?  New Orleans, Atlanta, and now Houston.

I slipped on some stairs and broke the glass on my phone. The most irritating thing about it is that the screen itself is fine, but the glass breaking has stopped the touchscreen from registering touches. Which isn't helpful on a touchscreen phone.

I'm off work next week and I can't turn off my 7.30am alarm so I'm going to have to hide my phone in another room and hope I can't hear it. :p

Can't even shut it down properly because I have to tap on the screen to confirm a shutdown...

Yeah, somebody said "at least you broke your phone and not your leg", but legs are cheaper to fix... I might have a go at fixing it myself with a repair kit I saw online. Just looks like it's a bit awkward and time consuming.

My cousin (the one who nearly died last year) is doing drugs again.

Argh. :(

Is there much support for drug users over there?

There is, but it doesn't work (or it doesn't work permanently).

And the person has to want it, in most cases.

It's really complicated with him.  He'll get clean, but he's living in a place for recovering addicts.  So he's around people with the same problems, or worse.  So they end up falling off the wagon together.  In fact, he met up with this skank who got him hooked on heroin.  He's also been diagnosed as bipolar, so that's certainly not helping matters.

Yeah, that does sound extra complicated. Hope he pulls through it. :(

I ewoking hate the job search.  It's like there are so many things conspiring against me (no, I don't actually believe something is out to get me, but it feels like it).  Highly educated, which should seem like a positive, but it ends up scaring away people; I was told in an interview that I was overqualified.  Massive social anxiety makes working with customers a problem.  Not to mention, it makes interviews tough; it's never a good thing when you start retching in an interview.  Very little experience with customer service (and it's a negative experience as I got fired from those jobs).  No management experience.  No experience or education in the healthcare field.  No experience in manufacturing.  Can't stand for long periods of time due to my weight.  A year and a half-long gap in my employment to have to explain.  No resources to move somewhere to find better jobs; hell, I did move last year, and it didn't work.  And now, no ewoking car!

My aunt called today and announced we're having Christmas dinner on December 29 at either Longhorn or Red Lobster.  This sith annoys the hell out of me.  Four days after Christmas after everyone's had to buy Christmas presents and been out of work due to the holidays (possibly without pay), at the end of the month when people who get paid monthly are at their brokest, at an expensive restaurant (by our standards).  The aunt in question is the control freak who's the only one really with any money (mostly gained from having a husband with a good job).

Urgh I hate it when people do things like that. Christmas is stressful enough without that sith.

I've got to do some shopping today... Wish me luck!

You know, it's bad enough that I have had so much trouble finding a job/real job.  What makes it worse is when people think I haven't been trying.  I have worked my ass off trying to find jobs that I can do.  I have applied to probably at least a hundred jobs.  I have gone to several employment agencies.  I have gone to several interviews.  I bought dress clothes.  I went to employment specialists.  I've looked into going back to school for something else.

Yeah, that's the most frustrating thing about job hunting, when people assume the reason you haven't found a job is because you haven't put in the effort. It's stressful enough without the judgement.

I'm not feeling the Christmas spirit this year. One of my uncles passed away yesterday, completely unexpected. :(
