    Indy's back!

So after all the rumors for the last several months, both confirming and denying the existence of a fifth Indiana Jones film, now we have official word from Disney. But now, not only is Spielberg on board (and has for a year now), Harrison Ford is on board once again. Rest of the cast TBD. What kind of Indy film will we see in July of 2019? Will this be Indy's final farewell? Passing the whip to a new adventurer (played by Chris Pratt????) Honestly, I'm just hoping it's better than Crystal Skulls. Link
  2. The production team behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens is to be prosecuted by the UK's Health and Safety Executive following the accident at Pinewood Studios that left 73-year-old Han Solo actor Harrison Ford with a broken leg. Foodles Production (UK) Ltd, is set to appear before High Wycombe Magistrates Court in May to face charges relating to the failure of heath and safety proceedures that should have been set in place to ensure the safety of the cast and crew. Following investigations HSE detirmined that there were four breaches of health and safety law that the company directors must answer to, stating that "employers must take reasonable steps to protect workers - this is as true on a film set as a factory floor". The incident involved a hydraulic door, which was considered dangerous machinery for the purposes of the investigation, and will most likely leed to a fine for the company, which was set up in 2013 for the production of The Force Awakens.
  3. The 72 year old star was initially reported by the media to be in a critical condition, but it later emerged that he apparently walked away from the crash and went to hospital for treatment. Ford was piloting a vintage 1940s aircraft instead of his usual YT-1300 freighter, and reported engine trouble shortly after take off from Santa Monica Airport. He attempted to return to the airport, but crashed in the nearby Penmar Golf Course. Although initial reports described Ford as having serious head injuries, his son Ben, a Los Angeles chef, tweeted that he was "battered but OK", and fire department crew who attended the scene said he was in a fair to moderate condition after the crash.
  4. Rumors have surfaced that Harrison Ford's part in Episode VII will be much bigger than that of Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, who will be taking a backseat to him and the trio of young leads. Though not substantiated, it has come up before, so there could be truth in it. Some think that they may be giving this bigger part to Ford because they may be killing Solo off in VII... or maybe to just appease him for whether or not another Indy film is made--apparently his stipulation to join Star Wars again. Thoughts on having more Han, less Luke and Leia? Link
  5. Online auction house Invaluable is selling an original prop used by Harrison Ford in two Star Wars films. The weapon, which is non-firing, is based on a German Mauser C96 handgun and is one of several props made for use in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. According to auctioneers, this particular model of Han Solo's trademark DL-44 blaster is a lighter version which would have been used in action-filled wide shots. Notably, it was used for the scene in Empire Strikes back when Darth Vader grabs Solo's blaster with the Force on Cloud City, and in Return of the Jedi when he wrestles with a stormtrooper on Endor. The prop was made is resin using a cast of the original DL-44 prop used in the original Star Wars movie, which itself has since been lost. Due to this fact it carries the same serial number as the original. In 2008 a Luke Skywalker lightsaber prop used by Mark Hamill was sold by producer Gary Kurtz for $240,000. If you have a spare $200,000 and would like the chance to own this piece of Star Wars history, you can find the auction here: http://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/harrison-ford-han-solo-dl-44-blaster-from-star-379-c-44e307f3bc
  6. During an appearance on UK television's Graham Norton Show, Harrison Ford suggested that he hasn't quite decided whether he wants to return to the role of Han Solo after a 30 year break.Although Ford says he is keep to do more Indiana Jones, he seems less keen to reprise the role of smuggler, scoundrel, and hero of the Rebellion Han Solo. Ford's apparent dislike of the character has been evident since Return of the Jedi's release in 1983 when he stated that he thought Han Solo should have been killed off. In an interview in 2010 he repeated this view, saying that Solo was "not so interesting to me". It has still not been officially confirmed whether any of the big three; Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, or Harrison Ford will return for Star Wars Episode VII, and we wonder whether a 70-year old Solo would be as quick with a blaster as he was in the classic trilogy. But one thing is for certain, his absence from the sequel trilogy would be disappointing to Star Wars fans. Harrison Ford is currently promoting his latest movie, the big screen adaptation of Ender's Game, and has also recently taken on a role in the next installment of the Expendables.
