  2. The Star Wars live action television series, which has been stuck in development hell for years is reportedly in the casting phase.First announced by George Lucas in 2005, the Star Wars live action series was highly anticipated by fans who were, at the time, still waiting for Revenge of the Sith to hit the big screen. Since then it has been reported to be at varies stages of production and at one point was said to have 50 episodes already written. Now it seems that Disney are looking to cast a live action Star Wars project separate to the series of movies. It is unlikely that this is the same series that was originally announced, as it has been rumored that this is for a mini-series or television specials. This type of project does seem like the type of thing Disney would venture into in order to capitalise on their new reign over the Star Wars franchise, having recently created a live action television series for their Marvel universe too, Agents of SHIELD. Star Wars Rebels

Disney and Lucasfilms have announced that a teaser trailer will be coming for Star Wars Rebels the show announced to take the place of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.Disney and Lucasfilms have announced that a teaser trailer will be coming for Star Wars Rebels the show announced to take the place of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. There isn't a lot of information regarding exactly how this series will fit into the timeline, however, representatives are stating that the show will take place during the time between the original trilogies, "in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape," which seems to mean that the show will likely start shortly after Episode III. The announcement of this show has been much anticipated since the cords were cut on The Clone Wars to prepare for this show. The series is not set to premier until 2014, but the teaser trailer is set to premier on Disney XD around 8:30 PM ET/PT, and is anticipated to be online shortly thereafter. Keep in mind, we won't have a huge glimpse of the series at this time, but the 1 -second trailer should really boost curiosity for viewers of all types. Producers for the show will be none other than Dave Filoni (Supervising Director for Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Greg Weisman (of Gargoyles fame), and Simon Kinberg (screenwriter and producer of X-Men: First Class, and Sherlock Holmes) who will also be writing the first episode. The Walking Dead

So any fans? Not as good as Game of Thrones (which I got into at the same time), but still a very good show. My favorite characters are probably Daryl and Carl (I don't get why people hate Carl so much).

    Torchwood

Anyone seen it? Dunno if it has been broadcast in the US yet. Official site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/ Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torchwood Basically it's a spin-off from Doctor Who, with the main character being Captain Jack Harkness, as introduced in a couple of Doctor Who episodes in the 2005 series. I am finding it to be very awesome. Currently catching up on it, so far I have only seen episodes 1 to 5, and the finale episodes 12 & 13.
