    KOTOR film??

https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/05/23/star-wars-movie-based-on-knights-of-the-old-republic-reportedly-in-the-works Will make a lot of fans excited lol! Personally, I don't mind if it's set on the game itself, or if it's just set in that time period. I would love to see a film with a bunch of Jedi and a bunch of Sith just going at it. I don't really need Revan for that. Earlier it was rumored that the trilogy the GOT writers were working on was an Old Republic era-set series. So perhaps that is no longer true? Or we are getting two? Hmm.
  2. Peter Cushing, the acclaimed British actor who died in 1994, was cemented into Star Wars fandom when he portrayed Grand Moff Tarkin in the original 1977 Star Wars movie. Tarkin was the commander of the first Death Star whose stern gaze and authoritative barks even seemed to have control over even Darth Vader. As if this didn't make him fearsome enough, he destroyed Alderaan along with it's billions of inhabitants just to prove a point. According to British tabloid, the Daily Mail, Cushing is set to make a comeback to Star Wars more than twenty years after his death in order to reprise his role as the Imperial governor thanks to digital visual effects. A source told the Daily Mail that they were trawling through hours of old footage of the late actor so that they can accurately capture his likeness, right down to the way he walked.

Joss Whedon in Star Wars talks?

The second Star Wars Anthology film ran into trouble recently when director Josh Trank stepped down from the project. Some reports say Trank was fired from the film after disagreements with the other key production crew members. In either case Lucasfilm are on the lookout for a replacement, and the latest rumors from Latino Review indicate that they may be looking to Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon to fill that spot. He has already expressed a desire to move on from the Marvel universe, after helming both Avengers movies and writing for Marvel's Agents of SHIELD television series, and perhaps Disney aren't ready to let him go just yet. Another possibility is the fabled Star Wars live-action television series which has been in development limbo for a decade but occasionally pops up in a rumor, and he is no stranger to science-fiction or fantasy on TV, having created cult classics Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, and Dollhouse. No official source has yet commented on these rumors as usual, so little may come of them, but even the possibility of Joss Whedon joining Star Wars is sure to excite fans.

  6. There's been a couple rumors floating around in the past months on what the subtitle to the new Episode VII will be. Obviously these could very well be crap... or just a working title for shooting until the real one is revealed. But until the official announcement comes--rumored to happen at Comic Con--I thought we could discussed the rumored subtitles, and perhaps come up with our own ideas for what to call Episode VII. Rumor 1: A New Dawn (originally reported by talkbacker.com) Rumor 2: The Ancient Fear (originally posted by AICN) Of the two rumored titles... I think I prefer The Ancient Fear. It feels like it has some weight to it. A New Dawn kind of mirrors A New Hope... but I think the new trilogy should be its own entity.
  7. Rumors have surfaced that Harrison Ford's part in Episode VII will be much bigger than that of Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, who will be taking a backseat to him and the trio of young leads. Though not substantiated, it has come up before, so there could be truth in it. Some think that they may be giving this bigger part to Ford because they may be killing Solo off in VII... or maybe to just appease him for whether or not another Indy film is made--apparently his stipulation to join Star Wars again. Thoughts on having more Han, less Luke and Leia? Link
  8. Formerly known as Korriban, the Sith homeworld of Moraband is rumored to be appearing in Episode VII.Recent talk suggests that Moraband, the homeworld of the Sith may play a part in Star Wars Episode VII. It was recently confirmed that Moraband as seen in animated television show The Clone Wars is intended to be the same planet as Korriban, which has had numerous appearances in the Expanded Universe, and at some point was renamed. According to sources, Moraband was a name George Lucas had pencilled in for a Sith world that was ultimately never used in the movies, but recent interest and a re-emergence of the name suggest that it may be being introduced ready for an appearance on the big screen. As ever, no details have been officially confirmed. Click here to view the article

  10. According to Jedi News a very reliable source has revealed to them that all six Star Wars movies will be receiving a digital release for the first time in November 2014, as Lucasfilm have now finished digitising the complete saga. Additionally, the report suggests that even more previously unseen footage has been unearthed and will be also released. There is little information available at the moment though, so hopefully something more concrete is confirmed soon!

  12. If true, this would be the first cast member announced for Star Wars: Episode VII which is due to start filming at Pinewood Studios in April, just two months away. Driver would reportedly take on a similar role to that of classic Star Wars trilogy villain Darth Vader, and the delayed decision was due to scheduling conflicts with his current television roles for HBO's Girls which have now been resolved. Variety's source has said that the deal has not yet been finalised but should go through in the next few days. In addition to Driver's role as Hannah's boyfriend on the hit HBO drama, his other credits include Inside Llewyn Davis and Frances Ha, and is currently filming Warner Bros' Midnight Special. So far the only officially confirmed character for Episode VII is R2-D2.
