    Jedi: Fallen Order poster leaked

A poster for the upcoming Respawn Entertainment game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been leaked on Amazon, after a t-shirt bearing the image was apparently listed early. The product has since been removed, but comes ahead of the world premiere of the game at Celebration this weekend. The image features an unidentified Jedi standing against a backdrop of a crashed Republic star destroyer, while a droid scans a rock formation which is likely to be the carving in the teaser image posted earlier this week. Jedi: Fallen Order is set for release in fall 2019. More details coming very soon!
  3. Update: Since time of publishing it has been discovered that the vacancies are for only marketing and public relations roles. The original article is preserved below for reference. Job vacancies have appeared on the Disney Careers website that appear to indicate a return to in-house development of Star Wars games. The new positions at Lucasfilm Games include high level develop roles such as Producers and Art Directors for work on new console projects. Developer EA Games has held exclusive development rights for Star Wars properties on most consoles since Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012; this included LucasArts, which they promptly shuttered. While LucasArts released many Star Wars games over the years, EA has only managed to release two AAA titles: Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefront 2, both of which have had a mixed reception. Jedi: Fallen Order is currently still in development by EA subsidiary Respawn Entertainment, but little is known about the game at this time, although new details are expected at Celebration next month. So far more Star Wars projects have been cancelled than released, including a game by Dead Space developer Visceral, and Star Wars 1313 which was in development by LucasArts at the time it was closed. This may indicate that Disney does not intend to renew EA's exclusive hold of the Star Wars licence. Could we see a return to the glory days of Star Wars gaming?
  4. Veteran video game writer Chris Avellone has revealed that he has spent the best part of the past year working on Respawn's upcoming Star Wars game, Jedi: Fallen Order. Avellone has previously worked as lead designer and writer for the acclaimed Knights of the Old Republic II, as well as other titles such as Prey, and Fallout: New Vegas. This brings an extra glimmer of hope to the game, as many fans and gamers alike have been wary of EA's involvment, due to their penchant for microtransactions and the slew of cancelled Star Wars titles like the untitled Visceral games production and 1313 which was cancelled by Disney when they aquired LucasArts, handing the reins to EA. New information is due to be revealed at Star Wars Celebration Chicago this April, possibly with some gameplay footage or an official trailer in anticipation of the game's release later this year. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is due for release in Fall 2019.
