^Hal^ 1 Posted January 1, 1970 Why? It makes the story have an impact. You see, this is the trouble with Star Wars fans. The 'my favorite character was killed, so it sucks,' is really pathetic. Also, it makes sense for Anakin to be killed off, since he's been cheating the numbers since the beginning. Jacen hasn't really seen all that much of the story so far (though that is about to change). And Jaina hadn't really, until DJ came out. I thought it was obvious from the beginning that Jacen and Jaina were gonna be the ones who basically won the war. Also, why blame it on the authors (I know you aren't, but a lot of people do). Do you have any idea how many death threats Salvatore recieved after he killed Chewie in VP. It wasn't even his idea. He didn't even want to kill Chewie, but he had to. I found SotE recently, but it was loads younger than the novel version (and loads worce, IMO) Does anyone know when RD comes out in England? Today or tomoro or when? I bet you can all take a guess A hint: My favorite character dies in SBS. Arrrrgh! How could they do that? That is the worst thing to be written in any of the books.
