The Atrocity and my desire to fix it

Recommended Posts

Jake Durron

So... about 6 months ago in a fit, I ended up selling most of my star wars books along with a good 400 other books because I was freaking out about space and my living situation.

And I really ewoking regret it

I still have like the njo and the zahn books and I THINK the xwing series... but that's pretty much it.

So I'm going to start rebuilding my collection.

Problem is I haven't read anything released after NJO and haven't read most of the stuff that happened canonically before it that has come out recently.

Any recommendations? I know I read the trilogy that was set like a year after NJO with the hive mind thing, but I can't be sure I read all three of them...

I've read those three, Millennium Falcon --which I recommend,--the Legacy of the Force series (again, recommended) and I'm reading the Fate of the Jedi series--not sure if I recommend it, yet, but it'd keep you up with current events.

You know I tried getting into that newer series about Jacen going all darthy and ended up giving it up. I didn't like the way the story line was going, and I had a tough time getting into the simplistic nature of the writing style after all of that flowery stuff I'd been reading.

I know that Outbound Flight came out quite some time ago and I have not yet had the opportunity to get it. That sounded awesome. Didn't Zahn write that one?

I also recommend Shatterpoint by Matthew Stover. It's been one of my favorites since it came out. The Couruscant Nights trilogy was pretty good, too.

Kia if you'd like, we can meet up at the Barnes and Noble across the road from the Starbucks- there's a Starbucks inside there too- and you can buy Shatterpoint. :p

It should be. I got my copy at a second-hand bookstore so I got the hardback for the paperback price. :D

Check the bargain books section at the bookstore. When books come out in paperback, they often mark down the hardcovers to less than the paperbacks
