LightLord 0 Posted August 29, 2007 I was hopeing when lucas finished making Ep 1,2,3 he make 7,8,9? It was always mention that he might. Now hes working on the series based after Ep 3. and Indy. He says he wont do it, but he might leave it to his Top side kick producer to follow on for him. I been waiting for this for over 20 years, how can they treat the fans like this? When they writen books and games.. They got the story, Lucas will get bored again and get low on cash, that's why he did Ep 1,2,3.. Would Ford and carrie, mark return? if they started production for the next films?
Drake 53 Posted August 29, 2007 No, and I wouldn't want them to. It would probably mess up the Extended Universe too much. Now, it would be cool if they made a cartoon or live action TV series based on the NJO...
Mara 29 Posted August 29, 2007 Yeah.. because then they would be able to include more. If it was a movie or three, a lot would have to be skipped and fans would riot. And I don't think George has ever said he would want to make more. I think he said jokingly that maybe in another 20 years (since he waited 20 to make the prequels) he would, but it wasn't anything serious. I think we're good the way the Star Wars universe is right now.

TheUnknown 39 Posted September 4, 2007 No, because he would mess with the EU too much. I would love to see the NJO brought to the screen somehow. If they did it right, ie. good actors (including the originals like Harrison Ford, etc.), good music, good CGI, etc., it would be AWESOME. I've always imagined a battle of Coruscant in SBS that lasts like an hour and is so ferocious it leaves you as drained as the characters.

TheUnknown 39 Posted March 5, 2014 My fear that they will ewok up the EU is still very much relevant, though.
Mara 29 Posted March 5, 2014 Yeah, but as said elsewhere, I think it's inevitable. Just like how comic book geeks get upset about superhero films messing up their comic lore. I think we'll have to figure out how to deal with the film franchise and the EU franchise being separate entities.
