Ana 15 Posted January 10, 2005 I think it depends both on the circumstance and on the child. Some children actually get the message when you scold them. I rarely had to be spanked when I was little, because I would stop once someone told me not to. My sister didn't listen, so she got spanked a lot more. I don't want to ever have to hit my children.
