I liked Splinter of the Mind's Eye...even though it didn't really fit in with continuity

TFP, TUF and TG I havn't read. Shatterpoint is amazing though.

Crystal Star I havn't read, though from what I've heard, it contradicts continuity more than any other EU book. (Something about another dimension) Darksaber, I havn't read, though I do have it. I looks okayish, though I'm getting tired of the whole superweapon thing. Splinter of the Mind's Eye was pretty good.

the only one I haven't read is Splinter in a mind's Eye...

but all of the ones you want to read are Awesome....

the others were Ok, but no were near the caliber of writing that we see now in the SW universe.

Cetus Deception was awesome....i loved the whole philosohpy behind it regarding the clones.

I think I've liked about every book I've read so far. I just have this blind love for anything star wars though, sometimes I think it may be a problem ... Anyways, I don't remember much of crystal star or darksaber that much, but I'm sure I liked them, I read them many years ago. I read splinter of the mind's eye not too long ago, liked that a fair bit. It really kinda took me back, since its such an oldie. My favorites were probably the Jedi Academy Trilogy, esp the part where they go skiing, that was swell ... I like skiing, in case you didn't notice

I say read 'em all. That's the easiest way for me to decide.

Don't waste your time with Bounty Hunter Wars, Shadow of the Empire, or the Black Fleet Crisis (well, unless you want a good laugh at how badly they messed up the characterizations). The older Han Solo trillogy by Brian Daley is also very boring, IMO, but the newer one by AC Crispin is quite good.

Do read anything by Aaron Allston, Michael Stackpole, Tim Zahn. And the Lando Calrission Adventures (or whatever it's called) is great! Absolutely hilarious. Oh, and that Han Solo Trillogy by Crispin I mentioned before.

Zahn, Stackpole, Allston are all good

Shadow of the Empire was alright, kinda like Splinter...it's small filler thats legit enough to be continuity but not anything spectacular.

I thought both Han Solo Trils and the lando tril were great.

Edit: Tril = Trilogy...I swear that was my edit!!

I'm in the middle of Medstar II right now. If you enjoy M*A*S*H you'll really enjoy the Medstar books. New Rebellion was a little out there in my thoughts, but it was still a good book.
