They might make it into an animated series.

About The Shining: The overall creepiness of the film (coupled with Jack's performance) made the movie just as good and as scary as the book.

About the NJO: Harrison said he'd never do another SW film. Without him, there would be no Han. No one else can play Han and get away with it! (Without the films sucking of course)

I say never in a million years -- but hey, I was skeptical when rumors of the Clone Wars miniseries surfaced, too, and look what happened there.

How about a dramatic live action series/mini-series?

I think the only way it would work, would be to take one single event and go with it... In order to not miss much.

'Cause otherwise, I think a full-scale film or series would just ruin the NJO, along with the rest of the EU.

A TV series could work. There's a core group of main characters to run with, plenty of stories to cover in overlapping plot arcs (using multiple part episodes instead of stand-alones), and enough action and drama to keep it entertaining for several seasons. The time span between the books is, what, 5+ years? Definately do-able if you take cast aging into account.

I would hope they could air it on a more "adult" channel. The NJO is pretty damn dark and violent. I would hate to see things watered down to get past some network's standards.

Sci-fi would probably take it.

it would definitely be a Sci-Fi-ish type series. and it certainly wouldn't be for the kiddies. it could be done so long as GL doesn't have anything to do with it, lol.

Ya know, Peter Jackson might be a good director for it.

Bona dea no!

You need to be a true Star Wars fan to do it... I don't think he's that into it...

As long as George Lucas doesn't do it... it'll work...

Yeah, but without GL's approval... you won't get the series.

I think it would be awesome to have J.J. Abrams do it... or at least produce with Georgie boy.

If this ever happens (I doubt it, though), I better get me some satellite TV. I don't get SciFI channel on cable. :p

I meant don't let Lucas direct. It's not by chance that the two best movies in the SW series (RotJ and TESB) were not directed by Lucas.
