Tolerate my whims: how many names have you had?

Recommended Posts

MsSolo

Looking around, I find myself in the unusual position of having kept the same screenname ever since I signed up here, and that was a relatively long time ago. I think even Beeurd's has altered sightly, and other people have changed theirs to the extent I'm not entirely certain it's actually the same person.

So, out of curiousity, who has changed their screenname, how often, and maybe even why, if you're in the mood to share?

First it was Corellian Sand Panther, then came Admiral Wes Janson, then Andrew Janson, and now Ender.

Bad furday

Well....first I was Bad furday...

then, after walking around the Cantina chanting,

"Pies lesu domine! Don ies requiem!" and smacking myself in the forehead with a board, just like the monks in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, I was declared "Mad" by Beeurd and Drake...

So then I was Bad (Mad) furday

And now, I'm Bad ?urday, as the fancy 'f' looks fancy.

Also due to the fact that the forums won't let me register as Bad furday again....

I was Podracer838, then podracer, and now finally Pod, changing depending on what everyone was calling me. Just out of curiostity, was my name shortened affectionately, or was it because y'all got tired of typing?

CorSec

Well....Waaaaay back...umm...on the SWMB...I signed up as a starry eye'd kid without a Gamecube or Rogue Leader ( :( ). So I just went with "Rogue_Leader_2002" out of delusions of grandeur. Then, I read the X-wing books. It changed to "Jedi_Knight_Corran_Horn"...Long name. Really stretched the post..hehe...then I had a short stint as "-Jedi Master Horn-"....And then "Corran Horn". About that time I met the JPLers in the BAC and GI nicked me as CorSec ((Most likely in a secret attempt to annoy me)). The name stuck and I eventually just switched over entirely. It's been CorSec since then although some fools still call me Corran (:p at Chickendude). I've always been CorSec on GB though...

I couldn't decide whether to choose "three times" or the last one in the poll... so I chose the last one, figuring it would make the most sense.

I cose the last one... Simply because I didn't know which other one to choose... I'm not really sure, although I do have a rough idea of my SN history across the web...

1997+

94beaand

beaand

beaand83

Blue_Beard

Green_Beard

BEE-URD

Darth Beard

2001+

beeurd

beeurd (? 2002)

Veydar Beeurd

Emperor Veydar Beeurd

The Beeurd

There are probably a few other variants, but basically it has involved the word "beeurd" since 2001

I remember when you claimed your name was copyrighted. Why did you do that, by chance?

Yeah, but you couldn't prove it was copyrighted, because it wasn't, now was it?

Bah, all you have to do to copyright something is say it's copyright...

Hmm... I wonder if the ? symbol is copyrighted, lol.

Heehee... That's kinda how I got the speeling for it! :D

It's a long story, and doesn't make a lot of sense unless it's actually spoken, so don't ask until we meet in person...

If you want to copyright something cheaply (and probably only semi-legeally) print it off and post it to yourself. The post office then has records of it, so it's proof that it went to you, or something like that. We were discussing this the other night.

BTW, i meant names just on the this board, otherwise I've no idea how mny I've used...
